Episode 8.4

When Oman complains, Dorina assures him he's the only best friend she has.

At the studio, the guards recognize Dorina and call her "ma'am" but Oman is asked to go through the audience entrance, until Dorina rescues him.

When Oman offers his salabat just before the band performs, Gary steps in and says his cough syrup is more effective. Oman can't help but feel bad when Dorina agrees with Gary.

Dorina is busy: she continues to perform with the band and then goes to her Jollibee pictorials.

Emilio continues his search as he drives his taxi around.

When Dorina and Lavinia are assigned to the same dressing room, Lavinia takes the opportunity to accuse Dorina of being deceitful. Dorina is shocked and Lavinia reveals to her that Nico has said Dorina intends to end Lavinia's career. Dorina denies it, and says she even made it a condition of her contract with Nico. Lavinia tells her to ask Nico directly.

Zossimo tells Nico that Dorina has been invited to the party of the advertisers. Nico tells him it will be good for her to go, but this time without the band.

Still upset, Dorina goes to confront Zossimo and Nico. They are not able to deny the truth. Dorina tells them she wants out and leaves.

At home, Dorina shares the upsetting news with Bencho, Adora, and Oman. Adora supports Dorina's decision to quit, since Dorina's happiness is more important than the money that she would have made or the fame she would have achieved.

Nico goes to the Arguelles home to confront Lavinia. She tells him he's no better than she is -- after all, he is using a young, innocent girl to destroy her career. Lavinia asks him why he's doing all this? Is it just so she will marry him? Nico tells her she is being blinded by her fame. He wants her to see the truth -- that she'll never be happy at the top.

Barbara tries to cheer Lavinia up by telling her that her Star Cinema movie might be starting soon. She's got it all now -- concerts, tv shows, commercials, and now the movies. Very few people have it all. Everyone is sure to be envious of her success. Lavinia agrees with Barbara.

Zossimo pleads with Dorina to complete her commercial with Jollibee and to appear at the party with the advertisers, because these have been committed already and contracts were signed. He tells her that Zoni will be sued otherwise. Dorina agrees to finish those commitments, but tells him she still hasn't changed her mind about quitting.

At the party, Zossimo tells Nico that Dorina intends to sing one of Lavinia's songs -- as a way of patching things up with Lavinia. Zossimo also says he has had no luck changing Dorina's mind, and asks Nico if he wants to talk to her.

Before Nico can respond, Lavinia, Larry, and Barbara arrive and make their grand entrance.

Dorina is about to go and greet Lavinia but her name is called and it is time for her to perform. She gets on stage and sings "Miss Na Miss Kita" while Lavinia fumes in her seat. Everyone applauds her at the end of the song, and Dorina goes to ask Lavinia if she thought she performed it well.

Dorina: Nagustuhan mo ba yung pagkakakanta ko?

Lavinia: Nagustuhan? Sinira mo ang kanta. Binaboy mo. Baliw lang ang nagsabi isinilang na ang aking karibal. You'll never make it. Hindi ka singer, Dorina. Wala kang kalulugaran sa mundong ito. Isa kang carbon copy. Malabong version ng original. You're fake. You're nothing but a second rate, trying hard copycat!

Lavinia grabs a glass of red wine from the table and throws the wine straight into Dorina's face, while members of the press start taking photographs.
