Episode 8.2
Oman comes home to find the Pineda home empty -- everyone is out. He finds Bencho at Adora's restaurant. She tells him that Dorina misses him, but that she's been so busy lately. He also learns from Minda that Gary came by to pick up Dorina for band practice.
Zossimo and Adora visit a dingy bar, unable to believe that Rosamia is now performing in such a rundown place. But Rosamia soon emerges on stage and starts singing "Dito Ba?". She stops in mid-sentence when she sees Zossimo, and hurriedly leaves the stage.
Zossimo and Adora see Rosamia backstage, but when Zossimo asks for her help, Rosamia turns hostile and reminds him of what happened to her the last time she tried to help one of their up-and-coming singers. Zossimo tries to explain that he's no longer with LaCalma, but Rosamia says she's been burned enough and tells them to leave.
Dorina is saddened that the meeting with Rosamia went poorly. Adora tries to find out which singer turned traitor on Rosamia before, but Zossimo says it's in the past. Dorina tells Zossimo she needs to have that song in her album because it's calling to her.
Larry tells Lavinia that the advertisers still want her, that she's still their top choice. Larry tells her he's even stolen a project from Dorina. Once the advertisers heard Lavinia's name, they immediately preferred her. Lavinia takes his hand and thanks him.
At home, Adora tells Dorina that Rosamia is now so pitiful, singing at such a terrible place. Dorina says perhaps she's really in financial trouble, and wonders if they can help her. Adora says Zossimo didn't get a chance to buy the song from her -- it would have been more income. Adora says perhaps Dorina should try talking to her -- after all, there's nothing to lose. Dorina agrees to try.
Zossimo updates Nico on his visit with Rosamia. Nico tells Zossimo they have to have a hit, especially after Larry has stolen one of Dorina's projects. Just then, Nico's cellphone rings and it is Lavinia. She is calling from Larry's office to gloat over the fact that the advertisers prefer her over Dorina. She says he might as well give up because he's just wasting his time and money. Nico assures her that he will not stop until Lavinia's career collapses. Lavinia tells him Dorina is no match for her and Nico might as well give up.
Rita is practicing the guitar at home with Jack when Barbara and Lavinia get home. Barbara walks up to them and tells Jack he looks familiar. Put on the spot, Rita says Barbara may have seen him at the Zoni launch because Jack is the keyboardist of Dorina's band. Barbara tells Rita it's late and that she should be in bed. She then asks Jack if his parents bothered to teach him proper manners because he has outstayed his welcome. Jack takes the cue and leaves. Barbara warns Rita to never let him in their house again.
Oman and Dorina are happily reunited. After greeting each other, Oman tells her she's such a celebrity now. He says he keeps telling people in the province that she's his best friend and no one would ever believe him. Dorina tells him she's happy he's back because she really missed him. When he asks her about Gary, Dorina says she just works with him, since he's the musical director of the band. Oman is relieved.
The next day, Adora prepares to leave her restaurant to do some marketing just as Oman walks in. He learns that Dorina left much earlier to go to Zoni Records with Gary. Oman is disappointed, and a little jealous.
At Zoni Records, Nico tells Dorina, Zossimo, and Gary that they should go back to see Rosamia if they really want to have her song for the album. Dorina gets Nico's consent to ask Rosamia to be her voice coach -- it will be another source of income for her. Zossimo likes the idea, especially since it's a way to help Rosamia without making it look like charity.
Nico tells them to go ahead. Zossimo asks him if he's going with them, and Nico says he's staying at the office to work on a deal that will make Dorina's career.
