Episode 1.3

Adora is seated at the dining table at home, but she doesn't feel like eating. At the orphanage, a nun encourages Dorina to eat, but she is still crying and runs out of the dining hall without eating anything.

Adora is still seated at the dining table, but this time she sees Dorina on the next chair, cradling baby Bencho at the dining table. They exchange smiles, but the image of Dorina soon fades away -- it is just Adora's imagination.

At the orphanage, Dorina cries herself to sleep, still missing Adora.

At home, Adora stares out the window crying.

Finally, Adora visits Bencho and Dorina in the orphanage. Mother and daughter are overjoyed to be reunited again.

Adora even presents Dorina with pasalubong, a tape of Rosa Mia's latest album.

Dorina asks Adora how much longer she will need to work in Cebu, because she misses Adora terribly. Adora tearfully tells her that she's done with her traveling, that they'll be together again and she promises that they won't be apart anymore.

It is years later.

Adora continues her Lugawan business and Bencho has grown and is helping out at the lugawan.

It is a busy day and the lugawan is full of customers.

As they eat, we hear someone singing "Nasaan Ka Man" and one of the customers, Jimmy, asks Adora to turn up the radio. Adora tells him she doesn't have a radio.

Adora eventually realizes who Jimmy is referring to, and she smiles as she lipsyncs along with the beautiful voice while the customers grow even more curious about the voice they are hearing.

As the song comes to an end, Adora calls for Dorina to come down and when she appears, Adora introduces her to the customers as the singer they had been listening to.

Bencho tells Dorina that they'll be going to a sing-along at the mall later.

Dorina asks Adora's permission to invite Oman along to join them.

When Adora gives her permission, Dorina goes to the neighboring home and tries to wake Oman, but he doesn't even respond to her tickling his feet.

Dorina resorts to singing loudly until Oman finally emerges from under the blankets.

The two are obviously good friends. Dorina even complains about Oman's bad breath and tells him to wash up. As she turns away, Oman climbs out of bed and grabs her, threatening to blow his bad breath into her face as she covers her nose and mouth laughing.

Rosa Mia is in a car and pulls up in front of Club 100. It is obvious she has not gotten over the loss of her daughter.

Emilio is in jail watching Rosa Mia on TV, and one of the inmates kids him about his undying devotion to Rosa Mia. When the inmate asks him about his interest in Rosa Mia, Emilio at first just says that he's a fan. But after some prodding, Emilio tells his fellow inmate that he's actually married to Rosa Mia.

His fellow inmate can't believe it and repeats Emilio's statement loudly in disbelief. Everyone in the room hears them. None of them believe Emilio -- they just jeer and kid him about it.

Outside, the inmate approaches Emilio and asks him to pardon him letting slip what Emilio said. He asks again if what Emilio had said was true. Emilio confirms to his friend that he is indeed married to Rosa Mia, and that he doesn't care whether or not his friend believes him.

Dorina is at the sing-along in the mall with Adora, Bencho, and Oman. As she finishes up one song, Adora suggests that she try singing one of Rosa Mia's songs and Dorina excitedly agrees.

Oman asks her to take things easy, because she might get sick. Dorina tells him he shouldn't worry because she hasn't been sick in such a long time. Adora attributes her improved health to all her singing, because her lungs have become stronger as a result.

Just then, they hear someone else in the arcade saying that Rosa Mia is performing at a mall show. They all rush to the mallshow just in time to catch Rosa Mia ending her song "Nasaan Ka Man".

As Rosa Mia moves to leave the stage, Dorina shouts Rosa Mia's name, and the singer turns around, looking puzzled... it is almost as if she recognizes Dorina's voice.

Rosa Mia searches the crowd, confused by the voice that she hears. But she can't see Dorina because Dorina is suddenly blocked by a fan carrying a large banner. By the time Dorina makes her way to the front of the audience, Rosa Mia has left the stage with Lauro Calma.

Backstage, Lauro encourages her to think of all her blessings instead of dwelling on the things that she has lost.

He also thanks her for reviving his recording company, and says he was entirely right about her all those years ago.

Larry Calma, now grown up, enters the dressing room to tell his father that he is needed elsewhere.

Lauro says his goodbyes, and tells Larry to take good care of his "lucky charm".

Outside, Adora and Dorina are both disappointed that Rosa Mia's mall appearance is over.

Oman tells them they're over-reacting, it's not as if they don't see Rosa Mia in Baclaran.

Dorina says she had been hoping to get an autograph.

Bencho is tired by now and asks that they go home. Oman agrees. But Adora and Dorina are not ready to leave yet.

Backstage, Larry tells Rosa Mia that a new deal has been offered to her. She will earn dollars and she will get to spend half a year in Malaysia. Rosa Mia is surprised to hear that she'll have to be away.

Larry tells her that he would like to venture into the global market, and he'd like to prove to his father that he's good for their recording business. Besides, it would be embarrasing to his contacts if the deal does not push through.

Back at the mall show, Oman eventually agrees to stay at the mallshow until 6pm, much to the delight of Dorina and Adora.

Backstage, Rosa Mia turns down Larry's idea of going to Malaysia.

She tells him that it's best if he and his father discuss this idea first because she's certain that his father would not agree anyway.

Outside, the fans chant for Rosa Mia, but it is not Rosa Mia who finally appears on stage, it is someone else and they are initially disappointed.

While Oman and the Pineda family does not recognize the new singer, we see two other women in the audience cheering for her.

The new singer continues to perform, and it turns out that one of the women cheering her is the former PA from yesterday's episode, now older.

Despite their initial disappointment, Dorina and Adora find themselves impressed by the new singer.

As the new singer ends her song, the former PA signals to the singer that she should throw her jacket to the audience. She does, and Dorina is the one to catch it.

Adora is not as thrilled as Dorina, but Dorina says it's still a great jacket, so she's happy. Besides, just because she has the jacket doesn't mean she's no longer Rosa Mia's biggest fan.

They check the back of the jacket and learn that the singer is named Lavinia.

Backstage, Zossimo enters and congratulates Rosa Mia on her successful performance, saying that her album is sure to hit double platinum.

She returns the compliment, saying that it's all possible because of the songs he, as her label producer, chose to include in the album.

Zossimo tells her that he wants Rosa Mia to meet Nico Escobar, who is their event producer. Nico enters and they are introduced. Nico thanks her for performing at their mall.

Just then Larry enters and Rosa Mia introduces him to Nico as the son of the owner of La Calma records. Larry is quick to clarify that he is not just the son, but also the Assistant Vice President for Operations.

Larry reveals that he's known Nico for some time.

Just then, Lavinia enters with the two ladies from the audience who were cheering her. The former PA acts surprised to see Rosa Mia and asks if it's possible to have their photo taken. Rosa Mia is quick to say yes.

Larry interrupts them by asking Ms. Arguelles to wait till later for the photo.

There is an awkward moment, but Ms. Arguelles recovers and quickly introduces her daughter Lavinia, whom she says is also a singer and a fan of Rosa Mia. She also introduces her second daughter, Rita.

Rosa Mia asks if she has met Ms. Arguelles before because she looks familiar.

Ms. Arguelles is happy to be remembered, and tells Rosa Mia that she used to be the production assistant of another singer (Pepita), who used to compete against Rosa Mia.

Rosa Mia asks after the other singer, and Ms. Arguelles launches into a somewhat embarassing story about the dead-end career of her former boss, and even talks about Pepita's terrible personality.

Rosa Mia breaks the awkward silence that follows by saying she is late for a pictorial. She makes her goodbyes and leaves.

Ms. Arguelles once again introduces her daughter Lavinia to everyone, saying she's a wonderful singer. Larry steps forward and introduces Lavinia to Nico, stating that Lavinia is one of the new artists of La Calma. Larry also introduces Tita Barbara and Rita. He then tells the Arguelles women that Nico as an event producer. Barbara immediately takes note of the fact that he is a producer.

Nico and Lavinia exchange glances.

Rosa Mia is once again in church praying. She thanks God for all her blessings, but tells Him that she still misses her daughter, who has been missing for 17 years.

She prays that whoever found her daughter is taking good care of her. She also prays for strength and patience until she finds her daughter again.

Little does she know that her missing daughter is sitting just a few pews behind her in the same church, praying as well.
